I had a disectomy and Laminectomy , for my lower back after 4 years of struggle. when I visited Dr.Rudol, right from the beginning he assured me and explained me in very minute detail about the procedures, risk and advantages, so that I am able to take a very informed decision. During the surgery day again, he was very assuring and helped put my anxious mind at ease. After the surgery was over, he had spoken to my wife and family about how the surgery went and also recommendations to return to normal life. After 7 weeks post surgery I feel very grateful and thankful towards Dr.Rudol and his excellent approach. the discussions with him always showed his eagerness to help his patients and do his best as possible. this is a very appreciable quality . I compeletely will recommend Dr.Rudol's work to other people and would advice them to visit him to obtain his feedback. Thanks and Regards Grateful Patient.

Mr.Rudol carried out a Laminectomy on myself on the 5th August 2019. I was treated with dignity and respect throughout. The whole procedure was carefully explained to myself with lots of time for questions the emphasis was on myself and my care.Throughout consultations with Mr.Rudol i have never felt hurried or that any questions I had were silly. The consultations were always in a relaxed and friendly environment. The procedure I had suggested to myself was very carefully explained and I fully understood everything that was to happen any risks were explained. I cannot thank Mr.Rudol enough after surgery for the success this procedure was.

I can't praise Mr Rudol enough for the care he provided, despite the long waiting lists that he holds for treatment. Mr Rudol managed to expedite my operation, appreciating the pain I was in at that time, not helped by waiting over a 18 months already. During the initial consultations and throughout my care, Mr Rudol made time in each meeting to listen, advise and review my planned operation. I found that he was always very informative answering any questions that I had, honestly and in great detail. This ensured that I was clear of the advantages and risks of the procedure throughly. He was always positive and reassuring throughout the process and maintained my spirits continually. On the day of the operation he made sure that I was ok and again reassured me about the outlook of my procedure, alleviating any anxiety that I had. Mr Rudol's aftercare and follow-up appointments then followed the great experience that I'd had leading up the procedure. Only once he was satisfied with the success of the procedure, did he discharge me. I would highly recommend Mr Rudol and his fantastic team. Very grateful patient

On the 26th of January 2019 I had an MRI scan confirming 2 major slipped discs and a fracture on the lower part of my vertebrate. My L2 nerve was completely squashed and I had no cartilage left. The extent of the damage was severe and it was impacting highly on my quality of life. The damage forced me to walk away from my AV installation business and my life was spiralling into nothing that also lead to depression because I was unable to do every day tasks. Before Christmas 2018 I was in unimaginable pain and was at such a low I didn’t know how I was ever going to feel anything like normal again. As soon as my eyes opened on a morning and I stood upright the pain would start, everyday painkillers did not help at all. After receiving the scan results I was offered fusion surgery that consisted of four titanium screws, a plate and cage. Being diagnosed with MS at twelve years old (I’m now 36) I have had my fair share of hospital experiences the latter not being pleasant but I am well accustomed to regular visits. That aside in all honesty the thought of major spinal surgery petrified me, until I was introduced to Mr Greg Rudol. Mr Rudol went through everything with myself in fine detail. He explained everything, what would be done, how it would be done, what to expect after the surgery and obviously the risks involved. I listened carefully and I was 100% convinced that whatever the outcome I would be in a better state physically and mentally than I had been in a long long time, it was a no brainer. On the 6th of July 2019 I had the surgery. It was a five hour operation and it was more successful than I could have hoped for. The difference I felt, even the day after surgery was no short of a miracle for myself. I spent three nights on the ward at Elland Spire hospital and after having the surgery on the Saturday afternoon I was back at home on the following Tuesday evening. The Spire hospital staff were no short of amazing. I spent the next two weeks resting and taking things very slow but day by day my quality of life improved dramatically to the point where my family and friends closest to me were taken back by how quickly and efficiently I was recovering. Eight weeks on and I am a different person. I dread to think where I would be if I had decided not to go through with the surgery. Yes there were other options, steroid injections and physio etc, unfortunately none of these would have cured the problem and let me get on with my life as I am able to do so now. My quality of life was at 20% and I’m now pushing on to 80%. I have started a new business and wake up smiling every morning and I am completely pain free. Mr Rudol and the rest of the team did a fine job and I am truly grateful for his medical services and expertise. I wouldn’t like to go through the process again but if I had to and I had the reassurance of Mr Rudol and the chance of improving my lifestyle I would, no questions asked. My wife, two children, family and friends extend their gratitude to a remarkable professional whom without his help I would not be the person I am today. Words cannot express how Mr Rudol has helped transform my life. My eight year old son has many super hero’s a the moment, Mr Rudol is mine. On a final note, I can’t stress the importance of the work that is carried out by Mr Rudol and his team. People do not need to suffer as they do and I highly recommend anybody suffering from any type of problematic spinal condition should not hesitate in booking a consultation with Mr Rudol. If anything can be done to help improve your quality of life he will strive in doing so. Hats off to your Mr Greg Rudol and thank you very very much. Kindest of regards James Hall

On first meeting Mr Rudol he immediately put me at ease, with his calm and considerate manner. Knowing I was facing major spinal surgery Mr Rudol carefully explained the process and procedures and was happy to answer all of my questions ( of which th ere were many)! Undergoing a wide spinal decompression and spinal fusion from S1 to L4 with the hope of preventing persistent Cauda Equina was for me, the only option going forward. If wanted to avoid losing control of both bladder and bowel and being able to walk without pain and numbness in both legs - surgery was the only hope. My symptoms had become severe by the time I was referred to Mr Rudol and he acted swiftly and calmly whilst expressing the urgency for surgery. I can not recommend Mr Rudol highly enough. He has given me my life back - I no longer have any pain in my back. There is no numbness or pins and needles in my legs and feet. I am thankful to say bladder and bowel are in working order and for the first time in years my legs feel light and I have a spring in my step. If you are considering spinal surgery - believe me when I say I know how terrifying that prospect is - outcomes can be dramatic but in a very positive way., my operation was a complicated procedure that other surgeons were reluctant to deal with. So please if you need to seek help for spinal problems seek Mr Rudol help and advice. He is (in my eyes) a hero and always will be.
